Welcome to ICPL 2027

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 6th International Conference on the Philosophy of Language, Literature, and Linguistics (ICPL 2027), to be held on May 7–8, 2027, at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Budapest, Hungary, in collaboration with Khazar University, Azerbaijan. The conference will be conducted in a hybrid format, bringing together participants both in person and online.

Under the timely theme, “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Higher Education: Support, Restriction, or Tolerance,” ICPL 2027 provides an interdisciplinary forum for scholars, researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners to critically examine the rapidly evolving relationship between Artificial Intelligence and higher education.

The growing presence of generative AI is transforming the ways in which we teach, learn, research, assess, communicate, and produce knowledge. These developments present remarkable opportunities while simultaneously raising complex philosophical, ethical, legal, linguistic, literary, pedagogical, and institutional questions. ICPL 2027 seeks to create a meaningful space for dialogue on these opportunities and challenges and to consider how universities can respond thoughtfully and responsibly to an AI-shaped academic future.

The conference welcomes contributions addressing AI in higher education and academic development; language education, teacher education, and linguistics; literature, humanities, and cultural studies; as well as the governance, ethics, law, philosophy, and economics of AI.

We warmly invite academics, researchers, doctoral students, and professionals from around the world to share their research, perspectives, and experiences and to engage in constructive interdisciplinary dialogue. Selected conference papers will also have an opportunity to be considered for submission to a special issue of the Khazar Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (KJHSS), a Web of Science ESCI-indexed journal, subject to the journal’s standard peer-review and editorial processes.
